Dungeon Demo

I am a huge fan of all the artwork produced by Synty Studios. I spent way too much money this past May during their big annual sale buying up assets. One of my favorite packs, is their Dungeon Pack. In that pack they have a beautiful demo scene. I wanted to make one of the characters run around in it; so that's what I did. Please note, I am in no way associated with Synty Studios other than being a big fan and a happy customer.

This isn't really a game, per ce. I really threw this together, and it shows. There's an intentional lack of polish. I realized that sound effects were going to be way too much work; so you'll get loud background music instead. Colliders in the ice caves are still a problem -- you'll see what I mean.

All in all, I just wanted to have the experience of walking around inside these beautiful assets. I did not alter the demo scene in any way. I animated doors so you could walk through them, put colliders so you wouldn't fall through things, and added some basic menus but that's about it.

Maybe someday, I'll put together the sort of obvious game with these (and other Synty assets). Maybe an action RPG rougelike -- we'll see, maybe.
