The King Likes Towers

Build your tower from random blocks to the specifications of a demanding king. Random blocks appear that you must place to reach the height specified for the king.

Each level provides a harder and harder challenge.

Controls

I only had time for mouse and keyboard sorry

Block Movement

  • A - move blocks left
  • D - move blocks right
  • S - speed up the descent
  • W - slow down the descent

Block Rotation

  • Q - rotate blocks CCW
  • E - rotate blocks CW

Theme


The tie into the theme is pretty obvious. Wanted to explore the idea of having a physics based tower builder.

Wildcards

  • DID YOU KNOW - The king, will spin a yarn, and tell you about building, people and places, and all about towers. Especially, about towers.
  • WARP SPEED - On the list, but I wanted selectable blocks that you could move and warp into the next up selection. Which is also not implemented.
  • WILDCARD - Umm.... I'm sure I could squint at the list and come up with something, but I didn't target this one either.

  • Weather effects that might provide some stability challenges.
  • Invaders, armies, and other trouble makers
  • Other kinds of objectives.
  • Sound effects
  • Special portal blocks

  • Birds can land and crash into the tower
  • Accessibility controls
  • Controller and gamepad support
  • BUG: special characters got into some of the messages.
  • BUG: The objective and level text doesn't update at the right times
